Optitex O/21.4 – Enhanced 3D Visualization, Pattern Design & Cloud Collaboration

Optitex O/21.4 introduces powerful upgrades across O/Cloud, PDS 2D, PDS 3D, and Marker modules, delivering improved performance, advanced visualization, and enhanced collaboration tools. This version is designed to help fashion designers and manufacturers streamline workflows, improve accuracy, and accelerate product development.

O/Cloud (V2.3) – Smarter Collaboration & 3D Viewing
The updated O/Cloud platform features a brand-new 3D Viewer supporting GLTF/GLB files, including 3DDI, PDS, and third-party formats. This allows seamless visualization and sharing of 3D garments across teams.

The upload process from PDS and 3DDI has been fully revamped for faster and smoother file transfers. Enhanced user management simplifies navigation through large user lists, while improved comment tracking with timestamps ensures better communication and collaboration.

PDS 2D – Improved Pattern Design Efficiency
Optitex O/21.4 enhances 2D pattern workflows with features like automatic piece name translation using custom dictionaries, making it easier to work across multiple languages.

Additional improvements include better upholstery workflow support for faster sorting of styles and pieces, enhanced DXF file handling for large perforated materials, and smoother import of Lectra MDL files with support for symmetrical pieces and quality zones. The update also includes full support for boundary validation curves in ASTM exports and configurable material export codes for leather AAMA exports.

PDS 3D – Advanced Fit Analysis & Realistic Rendering
The 3D module now offers improved fit analysis, including a new tension map for compression garments, enabling detailed evaluation of high-stretch areas.

Integration with Centric 8 PLM has been enhanced, allowing users to upload styles, tech packs, colorways, and tension maps directly to the cloud (O/Cloud license required). The Optitex Asset Portal has been expanded with new materials such as metals, glass, wood, plastics, automotive fabrics, and denim, along with improved avatar skin and hair textures.

Photorealistic rendering has also been optimized to deliver higher-quality visuals in less time, improving both design validation and presentation workflows.

Marker & General Improvements
Marker functionality has been refined with improved buffer definitions for better material planning. Additionally, license activation has been simplified, and various bug fixes ensure a smoother and more reliable user experience.
